When attempting to restore your progress, you may encounter error pop-ups, authentication loops, or failure messages such as "Account Not Found" or "Unable to Sync with Cloud." These errors typically occur due to OS permission restrictions, multiple profile logins on the same device, or cached authentication tokens.
Troubleshooting Android (Google Play Games)
Verify Active Account: Open the Google Play Games app, tap your profile icon, and confirm that the active account matches the exact email address used for your original Mob Control save.
Enable Automatic Sign-In: Inside Google Play Games app settings, enable "Sign in to games automatically" and "Use this account to sign in."
Clear Play Services Cache: Go to device Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > Storage, then tap Clear Cache. Repeat this step for the Mob Control app (do not tap Clear Data).
Re-link Account: Open Mob Control, navigate to Settings > Account, tap disconnect, restart the app, and re-select your primary Google account.
Troubleshooting iOS (Apple ID & Game Center)
Check Game Center Profile: Open iOS Settings > Game Center and verify that Game Center is toggled ON and signed into your primary Apple ID.
Verify Apple ID Permissions: Go to iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security > Apps Using Apple ID. Confirm Mob Control is allowed.
Toggle Game Center: If the connection screen freezes, go to iOS Settings > Game Center, toggle it OFF, wait 10 seconds, turn it back ON, and relaunch the game.
Cross-Platform Transfers (iOS <-> Android)
Automated Cloud Sync Limitation: Direct cloud syncing between different operating systems (e.g., moving progress from an iPhone to an Android device) is not supported automatically by Google Play or Apple Game Center.
Manual Migration Path: If you are changing operating systems, do not rely on cloud restore buttons. Refer to the manual support migration steps detailed in How do I restore lost progress or transfer my account?.
Escalating Unresolved Errors
If error screens persist after completing all troubleshooting steps above, submit an in-game ticket via Settings > Help & Support including:
A screenshot or video showing the exact error message/code.
Your current Player ID (found at the bottom of the main Settings menu).
The primary email address tied to your Google Play Games or Apple ID account.
